Our Grass-Fed Cowboy Steaks are the thickest cut 24oz Montana born and bred, bone-in prime ribeye, large enough to serve two people!  If you butterfly the cut down the middle, you can grill it much faster and serve two people, and it'll look great on your grill.  Or, buy 2 and man-up to the monster!  

This rib steak is graded USDA Prime beef so it features the highest level of marbling and Omega 3 available for rich, full-bodied flavor. Our Grass fed beef is raised and grazed just the way nature intended, Lower Fat and Lower Cholesterol too.

Cowboy Ribeye or Cowboy Steak is a specific cut of bone-in rib eye for the most rubust and rustic flavor. It’s the thickest cut with the whole bone attached.  Generally, the bone would have to be sawed through for thinner cuts of rib-eye. The rib eye cut is the center best portion of the rib steak, without the bone. But us Cowboys like everything big... bone and all!

Oven Cooking Directions:

Season the meat with salt and pepper. Let the steak rest at room temperature about 1 hour on a marinade or not. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Heat a grill pan to medium-high sear on both sides and finish in the oven for about 20 minutes.

Grill Cooking Directions:

Alternately, if using a gas grill: Let steak rest at room temperature about 1 hour. Pat steak dry with paper towels and salt and pepper.  Cook low and slow for about 10 minutes on each side until you’ve reached your desired finish.

Cast Iron Skillet Cooking Directions:

Place a heavy skillet, preferably cast-iron, on the stove and sprinkle lightly but evenly with Utah Flats Mineral Salt or Celtic Salt. Turn heat to high under pan. Pat both sides of steak dry again. When pan is smoking hot, 5 to 8 minutes, pat steak dry again and place in pan.  Stand back and watch the Cowboys come-a-runnin’!

DO NOT THROW OUT THE BONES: Grass fed beef bones are used to make the best beef broth or soup.  Save up your bones and make soup with a little apple cider vinegar and mineral salt. Throw in some organic onions and carrots too. It is the perfect way to help heal that leaky gut (we all have in some varying degree).
